Speakers at a seminar today called for providing more credit in Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) sector to achieve the development goals, including Vision-2021, Vision 2041 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“Poverty alleviation side by side overall development is possible through providing credit in SME,” they told the seminar at Sonali Bank Staff College in the city, said a press release.
Sonali Bank, a state-owned commercial bank, organised the seminar on “Problems and Prospect in SME Financing: Sonali Bank”.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir attended the seminar as the chief guest with Sonali Bank’s Chairman M Ashraful Moqbul in the chair.
Among others, Agrani Bank Chairman Dr Zaid Bakht and Sonali Bank’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director M Obayed Ullah Al Masud were present at the seminar.
